For most of my motherhood experience, I’ve despised play doh. I don’t like cleaning up the messes, I don’t like the colors being mixed together, and I don’t like having to supervise. So when I was first introduced to themed play doh kits, I was hesitant, but decided it was worth a try. I filled a bin with one color of play doh and some things around the house, and put it out for my kids. After they played independently for a solid hour, I was hooked. The toys in the bin helped guide the play away from just making messes, and with just one color to play with, there was no mixing!
Since that day, I’ve made kit after kit, and today I’m sharing my favorites! These themed kits will change your mind about play doh, give your kids some good imaginative and sensory play, and allow you a little bit of time for yourself! You can fill any of the kits with things that you have around your house or that can be found at the dollar store! Click here to shop some my favorite inexpensive play doh kit supplies!
