PLG Kid’s Room Round-Up

When school is about to start and summer feels like it is winding down, I get this harried desire to all of a sudden become a fully functioning and organized adult again with a schedule and meal plans and a put-together home. As a result, I’ve been on the hunt for organizational and design inspiration on the internets that might help propel me into the competent adult I know is in there somewhere. If you are feeling the same, and are wanting to give your home a little update before the busyness of the school year is here, maybe we can help! We have had so much fun over the years sharing the spaces of the homes we have lived in various cities around the country and thought we would revisit a few of them over the next couple of weeks. First up! Kid’s spaces!

1. Redd & Willa’s Room in NYC
This room was a tiny part of what was an overall tiny apartment (about 700 square feet) on the upper west side, but we made the most of it with cool bunk beds, polka dot walls and lot of pops of color. See it here.

2. Sam’s Baby Girl Nursery
After having sweet baby boy Chance, Sam was SO excited to decorate a room for a little lady that included all things girly but still felt stylish and modern. See how it came together right here.

3. Redder’s Playroom
This bright and happy sun room in Pennsylvania was the perfect spot for a playroom full of colorful toys, books, and a teepee for lots of pretending. See it here.

4. Baby Chance’s Nursery
This colorful and inviting space was so much fun to bring a first baby home to, and was complete with lots of fun DIY touches. See it here.

5. Chance’s Big Boy Room
Once Chance was ready to graduate to a real bed, it was time for a room makeover with a few more boy colors and modern details. See it here.

That’s it! Aren’t kids rooms the best? All the colors and toys and happy details make a home so much more fun. What are your favorite rooms in your house?

Happy home-making!
ox. Liz & Sam
