Summer is going by WAY too fast, and I am feeling the need to get every last road trip and getaway on my calendar before time runs out! I’m gonna maximize these last few weeks and check off the rest of my summer to-do list items, and its gonna be SO good. Of course its important to dress appropriately for summer activities, and what could be more appropriate than this DIY Out of Office T-Shirt to let everyone know you are living it up while you still can? You’re gonna need one of these. Keep scrolling for the tutorial!
Supplies
Cutting machine (I used my Silhouette CAMEO 3)
Blank t-shirt
Easyweed Heat Transfer Vinyl
Step 1: Cut your design out of the Easyweed Heat Transfer Vinyl (following the settings here), and weed the excess. Easyweed HTV is the best of the best when it comes to Heat Transfer Vinyl. It applies at a lower temperature than most similar materials, the backing can be peeled hot or cold, and it doesn’t lift during weeding.
Step 2: Iron on heat transfer vinyl following these heat settings.
Step 3: Remove the clear lining.
Step 4: Apply the stripes to the sleeves following the previous steps.
Now you are ready for all the pool days, campouts, park play dates, s’mores, fireworks, BBQs, you name it. You will be looking good, summering hard, and dressing the part.
Happy crafting & summering!
xo, Sam
