October is here, and that means it is time for ALL the fall things! This is the coziest and yummiest time of year, and we are going all in with the celebrating. One of our favorite parts of fall is pie season! So we are excited to team up with Plaid Crafts to bring you this fun FolkArt® fall-inspired project – these DIY Pie Boxes! They were so fun to make and would be the sweetest gift (with a pie included, DUH) to celebrate any event during this season. Here is what we did…
Supplies
Wooden box (we used these)
FolkArt® Stencils (Farm Life, Backgrounds)
FolkArt® Home Decor Chalk
FolkArt® Acrylic Paint and/or FolkArt® Multi-Surface Paint
Brushes
Step 1: Center the stencil (from the Farm Life Value Pack) and apply chalk finish paint. Let dry.
Step 2: Trace the heart stencil (from the Backgrounds Value Pack) around the arches.
Step 3: Add a message – you can use stencils or freehand. Let dry.
Step 4: Fill in the hearts with colored acrylic or multi-surface paint.
Step 5: Add details and accents using other stencils and paint colors.
Step 6: Use the stripe stencil (from the Farm Life Value Pack), or tape, to add stripes to the sides of the box. Let dry.
Add a pie, and you have the cutest and tastiest gift ever!
Happy pie season! Now, what fun projects and recipes are you dying to make this fall? Tell us all about it! And be sure to follow our friends at Plaid Crafts on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest as they celebrate 40 years of crafting with more super cool new product launches!

I. Love. This. Because, pie. And because it is adorable. Now I want somebody to give me a pie in a box.
