Was there anything better as a kid than a scratch off card? I remember hurrying to get the ones out of the Highlights magazine before my siblings to see if I could scratch off three red books in a row and win a free slap bracelet. They were the best when they were on a Mcdonald’s cup or they came randomly in the mail for some kind of promotion for a car dealership or restaurant. The possibilities felt endless! What could be behind that golden scratch sticker? Could this be the time I put a penny to this paper, scratch away the sticker and come out a millionaire? MAYBE. Now, add that feeling of anticipation to the fun of opening and reading Valentines and you’ll be delivering thrills to all of your lucky recipients!
We’ve seen different takes on adding scratch off sticker paper to Valentines around the internet and couldn’t wait to try out this method for ourselves! We loved how easy these were to put together and your Valentines will have a blast opening them up! Here’s how you make these Scratch Off Valentines:

How to make DIY Scratch Off Valentines
Step 1: Print the cards on heavy cardstock. We saw this adorable design from Pchee, and had to make something similar! You can access our design HERE.
Step 2: Cut the scratch off sticker paper into hearts and circles.
Step 3: Remove the sticker lining and apply the sticker over the area you’d like to cover.
That’s it! Now you’re ready to hand these cuties out so the secret message can be revealed!
Aren’t they adorable? They would be so fun to adapt for your friends or family! You can make them more personal with special notes inside, or even make the recipient scratch off the shape to reveal who the cards are from!
Are you making any Valentines this year? We’d love to hear your ideas!
Happy making!
