How to make DIY Heart Overalls for your little girl

These DIY Heart Overalls are sponsored by Plaid Crafts. All opinions are ours alone.

Today’s project features one of our favorite products – Fabric Creations Soft Fabric Ink! We love working with Fabric Creations to create our own DIY fashion and textile projects. It dries soft, leaving your fabric surfaces comfortable, wearable, and machine-washable. These little girls DIY heart overalls are made by stamping with a sponge cut into a heart, and they are soooo easy and soooo cute. Keep scrolling for the tutorial!

Supplies needed to make your own Heart Overalls:

Overalls
Fabric Creations Soft Fabric Ink (find at your local craft store)
Stamp or stencil
Paint brush

Step 1: Pre-wash your fabric. Cut a heart out of a sponge (I like to use a magic eraser) – this will be your stamp. Insert a protective layer (cardboard, wax paper, etc) inside the overalls to prevent bleeding.

Step 2: Apply paint to the stamp, dabbing on paper or palette to remove any excess. Press stamp on the overalls, being sure to press evenly around the edges. Tip: You can mix Fabric Creations Soft Fabric Ink colors together to create new colors!

Step 3: Touch up any rough spots or edges with a small paint brush.

Step 4: Allow the ink to dry overnight. Then, set the ink with a dry iron for maximum durability.

Aren’t they so cute? I love that you can customize the stamp and colors to match any personality or preference. For more tips on using Fabric Creations Soft Fabric Ink, click here!
