Until recently, all my jewelry lived in one drawer that gave me nightmares when I had to go looking for something pretty to wear. I decided it was time to make a place for my special and sentimental jewelry to live that would make it easier to access, since I wear it more frequently. We made this Confetti Cake Plate a couple years ago, and I thought the method would be perfect for some jewelry dishes. These DIY Mod Podge Confetti Dishes were born, and they have been the perfect solution to my organization problems. This project couldn’t be easier, and I love these cute little dishes! Keep reading for the full tutorial…
Supplies needed to make your own confetti dishes:
Dishes (I got these)
Mod Podge
Confetti
Sponge brush
Step 1: Using a sponge brush, apply a generous coat of Mod Podge on the dish, covering it completely.
Step 2: Sprinkle confetti on the dish while the Mod Podge is still wet. You can use tweezers to reposition or remove any pieces you don’t like. Make sure all the confetti is laying flat on the dish. Let the Mod Podge dry so the confetti doesn’t move in the next step.
Step 3: Apply a top coat of Mod Podge to seal the confetti on the dish. Then let it dry completely before use. If you feel like the confetti is still loose after it has dried, apply another coat of Mod Podge.
And that’s it! So easy, and aren’t they darling?! The perfect thing for housing your sparkly things so you have no trouble finding them! And think of all the different confetti shapes and colors you could use!
Happy crafting!
