PLG Loves: Inglesina Gusto (and Easter Ocean Water)!

We looove a good fizzy drink in our family. While we try to only get them on special occasions or when someone needs a good pick-me-up, there are a million soda shops around Utah (literally three within a couple miles of my house), so there is never a shortage of options when we get a craving! As a result of our affection for the bubbly stuff, we have been introduced to some of the funnest drink combinations, and today we are going to share a DIY version of one of our faves!

This is a festive Easter version of our favorite “Ocean Water” drink, dressed up to look like a duck floating on water. My son LOVES this “ducky drink” and it is so fun and simple to make!

Easter Ocean Water

Ingredients
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon coconut extract
2- 12 ounce cans Sprite
Blue food coloring

Directions
In a small microwave safe bowl stir water and sugar together. Heat for 30-60 seconds or until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a pitcher or punch bowl. Stir in soda, coconut extract, and food coloring. Serve over ice. Top with whipped topping and a peep.

I’ve also made an easier (and less sugar-y) version by mixing sparkling water with Powerade. As long as the drink is bubbly, this kid is happy!

He loves to work on his little drink in his Gusto high chair, which gives me a few extra minutes to finish dishes or pick up the family room! Gusto is effortless to open and close and has several versatile sitting positions. It has a detachable dishwasher safe serving tray for easy clean up, and is extremely compact when folded up. This modern, full-feature highchair from Inglesina has been perfect for our family!

Happy Monday!
xo, Sam
