I love a good homemade Christmas gift – especially one that is quick, easy, and personalized! We teamed up with our BFFs at Plaid Crafts to create these etched jars that are so cute for a family or neighbor Christmas gift, and they took less than 30 minutes to make! Who wouldn’t love a jar with their name, a lid, and a straw? Oh, and filled with Christmas candy? Yes please! Here is how we made them…
Supplies
Jars
Straws/lids
Martha Stewart Crafts® Glass Etching Cream & Brush
Stencil, vinyl cut out (I used my Silhouette Portrait)
Masking/painters tape
Step 1: Tape your stencil or vinyl design on your jar. Make sure there is a thick border on all sides of the design to prevent the cream from getting anywhere outside your design.
Step 2: Apply etching cream according to directions. Let sit for at least 15 minutes and then rinse off.
Step 3: Remove your stencil or vinyl.
Didn’t they turn out so cute? Time for the candy…
Add a string and a tag, and it’s the perfect gift!
Happy Christmas crafting! And be sure to follow Plaid on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and via Email as they celebrate 40 years of crafting with their incredible products!
xo, Sam
And don’t miss the other 30 minute gift projects from the rest of the Plaid Creators:
Those are too cute…everyone loves getting something personalized!
Everyone likes getting something homemade that there’s alone.
My question is where do you get stencils with names on them?
