I usually only make semi-homemade food to save time and effort, so it is rare for me to make something completely from scratch. However, in this new year one of my goals is to do more truly homemade baking, so I started this week by making these Mixed Berry Sweet Rolls and they were so delicious, completely homemade, and really simple!
The roll itself is light and fluffy and so tasty. The dough is easy to whip up, and only takes time because it has to rise. It uses ingredients I already had on hand and is the perfect versatile recipe that can be used for dinner rolls or breadsticks too!
I used some homemade mixed berry jam, and I think one of the best parts of this recipe is that it could be used with any kind of jam and that makes the possibilities basically endless!
How pretty do these things look? So swirly and sweet and berry-filled! You are going to want to make these ASAP.

1/4 C sugar
1 tsp salt

3/4 C berry preserves
1/4 C softened butter or margarine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll dough on floured surface to a 12×18 inch rectangle. Mix filling ingredients together and spread across the dough. Roll into a log and divide into twelve rolls for a 9×13 pan. Place rolls in greased pan and let rise another 20-30 minutes. Bake for 20-25 minutes until slightly golden.
Let cool for 15 minutes. Mix all frosting ingredients together and spread on top.
Happy homemade baking!

Yum! We swap out the cinnamon/sugar in our rolls for jam every once in a while and they're always so, so, good! These look amazing!
