Have you started thinking about your holiday menus yet? I must admit, I start thinking about them the second pumpkins start showing up at the grocery store because I know soon cranberries and pomegranates and other seasonal deliciousness will be close behind them. So, in preparation for holiday parties and get-togethers that are on their way, today I am sharing a couple of perfect crostini recipes for holiday entertaining. These little babies are the best because they are quick to throw together, they combine some of the best flavors of the season, and they are dang delicious.

Plus, today I incorporated Don Victor Honey to make them extra special. Don Victor is raw, filtered honey that isn’t processed in any way, plus it comes with a piece of edible honeycomb still in the jar! It is so delicious and will take your holiday entertaining to the next level. Now, on with the recipes!

Entertaining tip! Use black paper as a table runner or table cloth and label your menu with a chalkboard marker! You can do this to the finished product or lay out the ingredients, label them, and let your guest assemble their own crostinis!

Can you spot the honeycomb in the jar? Makes my mouth water!  Okay, now really, on to the recipes!

Directions

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan bring the honey, water, orange juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a gentle boil. Add the cranberries and sage leaves. Stir often until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened. About 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. While the cranberries slice and toast your bread. Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Brush each slice of bread with a little olive oil. Toast for about 3-5 minutes per side or until lightly browned.
  3. Assemble the crostini by spreading an even amount of goat cheese on each slice followed by a spoonful of the cranberry sauce. Sprinkle each crostini with a little orange zest, minced sage and a drizzle of Don Victor Honey. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
