I used Elmer's glue and when I came back after it dried, I found that dried flat on the canvas with no dimension. Would hot glue be an alternative or did I use the glue wrong?ReplyCancel

Not mentioned in the tutorial, the canvas is one you purchase (or make) that is stretched and treated with gesso (as in an artist's canvas) so that it doesn't soak up the glue.ReplyCancel

DIY Halloween Mugs

When the temperature starts to drop in the fall I start thinking about one warm, rich, chocolatey thing: Hot Chocolate! I like it dark, I like it with mint, I like it with caramel, I like it with marshmellows, I like it with whipped cream, I like it with more chocolate melting INSIDE the hot...

DIY Faux Cement Bookends

I love how cute and easy these are! Since they’re made of foam and probably not very heavy, are they sturdy enough to hold books or more for decorative purposes? I’d be bummed if a heavy book crushed my pretty new bookend.ReplyCancel

    • prettylifegirlsSeptember 25, 2016 - 6:27 pm

Yes, they are definitely more decorative! I don’t think a book would be able to crush them, but it would probably knock them over. xoxo.ReplyCancel
