How to Make Flower Charm Perler Bead Bracelets

Today’s project uses one of our favorite craft supplies from the 90s that are still going strong! We’re making Flower Charm Perler Bead Bracelets!

We’ve noticed a 90’s inspired TikTok trend as of late where makers are creating daisy chain belts using Perler beads (those beads you put on a mini peg board and then melt together with an iron). The results are super cute and if you are an adorable gen-z-er this trend is definitely for you. However, if you are a 30-something mother of two who thinks this project is cute, but at the moment you’re not too interested in putting what is essentially a necklace around your hips, we get it. So, we decided to make this trend our own, scale it down, and make the daisy chain belts into charm bracelets!

We had so much fun reliving our childhood crafting days using Perler beads, and our kids had a great time getting in on it, too! Plus, these bracelets are so fun and unique!

Supplies Needed to Make Perler Bead Bracelets

Perler Beads
Perler Bead Pegboards (a round shape is a must to make the daisies!)

Step 1: On a round pegboard, create your daisies by placing one color of Perler bead in the center with six beads of a different color around it. (It’s important that you have a round board so that the pegs are arranged in the right configuration to made the daisies. With some boards the pegs are in a square grid that won’t all for this design.)

Step 2: Once you have created your desired number of daisies, place a sheet of parchment paper over the daisies and melt with an iron, according to your Perler bead package directions. Once melted, let cool and carefully remove from the paper/pegboard.

Step 3: Using your jewelry pliers, squeeze apart your jumps rings and feed them through one of the holes on one of the petals of the daisies. (If the holes melted shut you can open them back up by carefully poking them with a needle or tack.)

Step 4: Attach the jump rings with the daises to your jewelry chain and squeeze the jump rings together using jewelry pliers to close.

Step 5: Using jewelry pliers, attach the clasp to one end of the bracelet to finish.

That’s it! Aren’t they the most fun? You could go crazy making beads in all your favorite colors to match outfits, or to fit your personality. I want to play with Perler beads all day long!

We had a blast stringing up some of the leftover beads to make a matching stack to go with the charm bracelet and love how they look together! Perler beads aren’t just for melting!
