Over the weekend we had the best time joining Crayola and Michaels Kid’s Club Online to teach a virtual class for kids where they learned to make a DIY Snow Globe! It was SO much fun and these tiny snow globes could not be more adorable! This is the perfect way to get creative with your little ones during the holiday season, and all you’ll need are a few simple supplies from Michaels to make it happen. We have the full workshop video below if you’d like to turn it on and follow along, and we have some steps we’ve written to help you as well.
Keep in mind that these snow globes are only meant to mimic the real thing (and be kid-friendly), so don’t add water if you are using Model Magic to make them like we did. Just add a little glitter to get a snowy effect and you’ll be set! Here is what you’ll need:

Model Magic Variety Pack
Elmer’s glue
Plastic storage jar
Glitter
Adhesive-backed felt
Scissors
How to make a DIY Snow Globe
Watch the video or read the steps below.
Step 1: Mold Model Magic into mini Christmas trees and add decorations. Set aside.
Step 2: Mold Model Magic into a mini snowman and add a hat and face. Set aside.
Step 3: Open the jar and cut a piece of adhesive back red felt to fit around the rim of the lid. Place it around the rim.
Step 4: Use a bit of glue to hold the trees and snowman to the inside of the lid.
Step 5: Sprinkle some glitter over the scene and place the jar back on the lid. For an additional accent of sparkle, place dots of glue around the outside of the jar and sprinkle it with glitter. Let dry.
