If you followed our blog from its inception then you know that DIY fashion is one of our first loves. In fact, one of our first ever DIY posts were these stamped heart jeans that are still our favorite! Taking something you already have in your closet and adding a DIY element to make it fresh, new and stylish can feel like a magic trick, and one that takes only a couple supplies and a couple of minutes to make is an even bigger win. We think today's tutorial for making DIY Stripe Jeans does just that, and it's so easy that you're sure to wonder why you haven't been adding stripes to your jeans for years! We used Tulip ColorShot Instant Fabric Color (a super fun spray paint for fabric) to make it happen, and you're gonna be obsessed once you try this product for yourself. Here's what we did:

How to make DIY Stripe Jeans
Step 1. Using the tape of your choice, tape off the area that you are going to spray. We made our stripe just over an inch wide. If desired, lay some paper, a garbage bag or some scrap fabric on either side of the tape to block residual spray from landing outside of the tape.
Step 2. Shake can well. Hold can 6-8″ away from the jeans and spray your first coat on the jeans in the middle of the taped off area. Let dry completely, then repeat until desired color is achieved.
Step 3. Remove tape and wear!
Can you believe how easy it is to dress up your jeans? This method is such a fun way to add some extra interest to your outfit and we love the subtle sparkle that Tulip ColorShot Instant Fabric Color adds to make it even more sassy.
Are you into DIY fashion? What are your favorite methods and products? We'd love to hear all about them!
