Valentine’s Day is coming! That sweet little heart-shaped bright spot in the middle of endless winter where we explode with love toward our people and give ourselves permission to consume all the chocolate. I’m looking to decorating and making valentines and baking with pink sprinkles, and I always love to make a festive wreath to hang on my door to send the message to all who may enter that in this house, it’s a love fest. So, today I’m going to show you a pretty little DIY Valentine wreath that you can whip up in an afternoon using your Silhouette CAMEO 4! I am so in love with this new machine and how easy it always makes it to create gorgeous works of art. Let me show you how to do it:

How to make a DIY Valentine Wreath
Step 1: Arrange and size your designs in the Silhouette Design Software. I used all of the designs as-is and adjusted them to the size I wanted them aide from the heart branch design where I removed the bird and only cut out the branch and the wisteria branches where I only used the stems with leaves.
Step 2: Cut out your design using your desired cardstock.
Step 3: Weed your design and remove from cutting mat, making sure that you keep all of the pieces for each flower together.
Step 4: Roll the leaves and petals around a pencil or paint brush to create dimension.
Step 5: Assemble all of the flowers together by layering them on top of one another and attaching with hot glue.
Step 6: If desired, spray paint wreath form. (Note: I used this wreath form and used wire cutters to remove the two inner-hearts.)
Step 7: Attach flowers, leaves and branches to the wreath form using a generous amount of hot glue.
Step 8: Hang and enjoy!
That’s it! Now you’ve made a lovely Valentine’s Day wreath perfect for filling your guests with a burst of love the second they come to your door!
I loved putting this wreath together and adding some blush and blue pops to give it a bit of a different take from the typical pink, red and purple Valentine’s Day palette. Plus, by using the Silhouette Cameo 4 to cut out all of those little flower pieces, I was able to give the wreath detail and dimension that I could never recreate on my own. Let’s face it. My Silhouette Cameo 4 is my ACTUAL Valentine.
How are you decorating for Valentine’s Day this year? Do you have a favorite wreath that you look forward to hanging? We’d love to hear all about it!
