A Stay at the Oceanfront Lodge in Manzanita, Oregon!

Happy summer travel season, friends! We are so excited to share with you our first trip of the summer to Manzanita, Oregon! We took both of our families and our parents along with us on this one and it was pure summertime magic that we can’t wait to share.

If our taking a trip to Manzanita sounds familiar that’s because Liz took her family there a couple of years ago and shared it here, and fell so in love with it that she had to bring more family back. Manzanita is the most charming coastal town that is packed with so much beauty it will make your head spin. Last time Liz stayed at the incredible Historic Reed House, part of The Houses of Manzanita Beach, (a stunning collection of oceanfront vacation rentals), and this time we had the pleasure of staying in another, recently renovated member of the The Houses of Manzanita Beach, the Oceanfront Lodge!

The Oceanfront Lodge is a recently renovated, modern oasis with incredible views of the coast. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and can sleep 16! When we walked into this amazing space we were blown away! Every room is stylishly decorated and cozy (with two wood-burning fireplaces!), there is the perfect amount of space to have space and lovely gathering spaces when you want to be together, and there are windows all around with breathtaking views of the ocean and Neahkahnie Mountain. It could not be more dreamy.

Can we just talk about this kitchen for a sec? This was a dream to cook in! Everything was sleek and new, with double dishwashers, a double sink, and two ovens so we could easily cook for our crowd! Making meals was a pleasure in this lovely space, and the views outside didn’t hurt either.

I’m still dreaming about this great room with the BEST light in the whole wide world, amazing views, and gorgeous furnishings that I want to steal and recreate in my own home. This room was like a magnet. We all wanted to be in here all the time because it was so comfortable and beautiful. Can you handle those ceilings?

Every bedroom in this home has fluffy king beds and beautiful styling, except for THIS one which pretty much blew our kid’s minds:

A bunk room with six built-in bunk beds! Not only that, each bunk had its own outlet, reading light, and shelf for storing books to read before bed. Our kids thought they had died and gone to a magical summer camp heaven. Except at this summer camp there are down comforters.

Every bedroom and bathroom is full of beauty and thoughtfully designed making it hard to decide if we loved being in bed or hanging in the great room more! We couldn’t choose. They were both perfect.

This downstairs bonus room was such a great addition. I’ve found that the key to a successful trip where you share a home with a bunch of family and friends is SPACE. Having a place where you can watch something else on tv that is different than what everyone else wants to watch, or having a quiet place to hide away and read makes the times when you gather together to laugh and be loud work so much better. The Houses on Manzanita Beach gets this so well. Their gathering spaces are so appealing but there is so much wonderful space to recharge, too. (See all of the detailed specs of the Oceanfront Lodge and book your stay right here.)

Sighhhh. What a place! We truly can’t recommend booking a trip to The Houses of Manzanita Beach enough! They have 5 different homes in this stunning ocean side area, perfect for everything from a small family getaway to a big family reunion, and everything in between! Next week we’ll be sharing all of the wonderful beaches and sites and fun things to do during your stay so you can start planning your itinerary! In the meantime, happy planning!
