It’s spring break season! Where are you headed? We love hearing about your plans to escape the norm during this time of year and today we are sharing our recent trip to the Wyndham Palm Aire in Pompano Beach, Florida! If you have never heard of Pompano Beach, it is a beautiful area a few miles north of Fort Lauderdale that comes with miles of beautiful coastline as well as all of the sites of the city!
And while we loved the beach and the fun of Fort Lauderdale, I must admit that once we checked into the Wyndham Palm Aire it was very hard to leave. The grounds are covered in lush palm trees, there are four gorgeous swimming pools (with a water slide and splash pad for the little ones), volleyball/tennis/basketball courts, mini golf, yard games, and the super fun “Play Days” activity program! There was so much for every member of the family to do and we could hardly wait to start playing!
If you have been following this blog for awhile and keep up with our family travel series, you know we are super loyal to Wyndham Destinations. When it comes to family travel there is just no better way to do it! We have traveled to Washington DC, Atlantic City and now Pompano Beach, Florida and stayed at Wyndham Destinations properties and each time makes it harder to even think about staying anywhere else!
Truly, the number one reason I think Wyndham Destinations are so perfect for families is the SPACE. The fun of a cramped hotel room with my monkey children leaping from bed to bed can really wear off quickly, and with Wyndham Destinations condo-style accommodations (separate bedrooms, living/dining areas, full kitchens, washer/dryer, etc.) you can spend a little much needed time apart to recharge while you are spending time together. It is the perfect marriage of the amenities of home with the amenities of a resort (pools, hot tubs, fitness center, etc.) that makes it so idyllic to stay with them.
The Wyndham Palm Aire is packed with fun things to do and my kiddos had the best time mini golfing, karaoke-ing, playing in the arcade, doing yard games, downing pina coladas, and sliding down that water slide until they were too tired to move. Add to that the lovely ocean breezes and swaying palm trees and you’ve got yourself a spring break paradise.
One of the great parts about Club Wyndham resorts is that they are actually timeshares which have evolved so much, making them a perfect way for families to travel! Owning a timeshare no longer means that you visit the same beach resort, the same week every year, and stay in the exact same room. Instead, Wyndham now offers a flexible points system that allows you to book stays at 220 Wyndham vacation club resorts or exchange at 4,300 affiliated resorts in 110 countries with the RCI exchange network. Timeshare owners aren’t buying fixed weeks in one location, but rather points that allow them to travel the world!
So, you can go anywhere in the US, Hawaii and internationally, allowing you explore places you have never visited before, knowing that the comfort of Wyndham will be there to greet you! And the actual cost to buy a timeshare can be as low as one latte a day. It’s kind of like buying your family vacation in bulk – you pay for the timeshare ownership and you can vacation every year for life!
