A couple of weeks ago I needed a costume for a Willy Wonka themed party where you could dress up as a character from Willy Wonka or as your favorite candy. Since I am a big candy girl I was allll about this challenge and came up with an idea that was a piece of cake to make (or in this case, a piece of taffy), and turned out adorably: I went as Laffy Taffy!
All you whip one of these cuties up yourself are a couple of simple supplies that you can prime over to yourself from Amazon, your Silhouette cutting machine and my free cut file! Let’s get to the links:
To make your own Laffy Taffy costume, simply cut out our design on your vinyl using your Silhouette Cameo, arrange on your dress, and iron according to package directions. Pair your dress with matching tights and you’re set!
This thing was so easy to make and I loved adding the joke on the back as a fun extra touch. I love the idea of making a these in little and big sizes in different colors so your family or friends can go together in all of the Laffy Taffy flavors! If you make your own, be sure to send us a pic!
What DIY costume ideas do you have up your sleeve? We’d love to hear about them!
