I love living in New York City. Yes, the cost of living sometimes makes me want to lie on the floor in the fetal position, and my family of 4 lives in 600 square foot shoe box, and the amount of run-ins I have had with rats in the last year has given me PTSD, but still, my love persists. I love the light off of the buildings in the morning, I love the quirky, kind, and interesting people, and it's just, I love all the dang bagels. Every day I'm more surprised at how its pace and energy suits me and when I think about ever moving away I feel so much sadness, and then I need more bagels.
And yet, despite all of my affection for it, I LOVE getting out of New York City. Next week I am heading home to Utah for a couple of weeks and I am already making a list of the luxurious things I plan to do. They include a stroll down the wiiiiide aisles of a big box store, eating a great hamburger that doesn't cost over $20, and getting in a warm, cozy car to run my errands. I'm SO ready to get a little suburbia in my life, and I'm packing some of my favorite items from Tobi that I love to wear in the city, for travel, and for every day. From jeans to dresses to cozy sweaters, Tobi always has me feeling put together whether I'm dodging rats in the city on my way to get a bagel, or strolling the aisles of Walmart after finishing a bagel.
