My family took a trip to the Jersey Shore this weekend and stopped at this random wall to take these outfit pics. While we were shooting, a grandma and her two little grandkids walked past. They smiled at us and were probably thinking we were the biggest weirdos ever because FASHION BLOGGING, but just before they passed us one of the little girls turned and shyly said, “I like your dress!”
Because I can be a complete garbage human, my first instinct was to reply that clearly I wasn't wearing a dress and that this skirt is just one of the fab pieces from the Let's Be Adventurers! line by & Apparel for Cents of Style (available for a limited time only! RUN, don't walk). But also, I was amazed that such a little person was so willing to compliment a stranger so freely. Why do we lose that generosity, grown ups? I want it back!
So, today we are headed to NYC, and I plan to compliment any stranger I come in contact with because that little girl was the coolest and I want to be her real bad. Those hot dog vendors better watch out because I am coming for them.
Also, have I mentioned that you look GREAT today?
