It's the morning after. How do you feel? I'm still basking in the afterglow of a lovely Thanksgiving but also felt that my sole purpose once I lifted my head off my pillow this morning was to get the Christmas music on immediately (and to get to that left-over pie. There were two purposes.) So today I am sharing a little Christmas craft that is perfect for neighbor/teacher/friend gifts or for you to make for yourself if you'd like to give yourself something delicious and adorable.
The best part of today's DIY is that I used Core'dinations Glitter Prints. This is the coolest paper that lets you print on glitter with no mess or flaking. You can use it with any inkjet printer to make adorable personalized gifts with great color vibrancy and the perfect amount of glittery sparkle. Here's how I used mine:
What you need:
Core'dinations Glitter Prints Paper (Core’dinations Glitter Prints are now available at Hobby Lobby and Michaels (under Michaels private label) and will be at Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts Stores and A.C. Moore in early 2016!)
Next, make your treat! I made an egg nog fudge that really, really didn't set up. But, it was so delicious and turned out to be the consistency of caramels, so I wrapped them up in waxed paper and turned them into candy! Here is the recipe:
Egg Nog Fudge
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup eggnog
- 12 ounces white baking chocolate
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Fill your jars with treats and tie on your tags with ribbon. Then slip in your Christmas ornament for a little extra bling.
You're done! And you're ready to make someone else's day merry and bright.
