Now that school is out it feels like everyday should have some kind of mini summer celebration. It’s just SO short so I feel like we’ve gotta try to make every glorious summer day count. Since we have little tiny kids and my 3-year old would surely do his best to make a campfire situation turn into an emergency room situation, I have had to get a little more creative in order to enjoy one of my FAVORITE summertime traditions: S’mores! Luckily I have found that any day can be a S’mores Day if you have an oven. As a result, today I am going to show you how I make S’mores in my own oven along with three ways you can dress them up to take them to the next level of deliciousness.

What you need:
-Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars
-Honey Maid Graham Cracker Squares
-Kraft’s Jet Puffed Marshmallows

How to make them:
1. Set oven to broil.
2. Break graham crackers into squares and place on cookie sheet. Top with chocolate bar, and then marshmallow and place on the middle rack of the oven.
3. Let S’mores broil until the tops become golden, watching closely to ensure they don’t burn, then remove from oven.
4. Top with remaining graham cracker halves and you’ve made yourself a classic and delicious S’more!

Oh. So. Good. And to make it even more fun, I cooked up some simple and quick variations to add to your S’mores to give them sass and make your summer nights a little more special. Take a look at these beauties:

Salted Caramel S’mores with Banana
1. Make a salted caramel sauce. This one by Kelsey Nixon is divine. You can also buy a basic caramel sauce and add sea salt to taste.
2. Thinly chop a banana vertically.
3. Complete steps 1-3 in the S’mores recipe above.
4. Upon removing S’mores from the oven, top marshmallow with chopped banana pieces then drizzle with caramel.
5. Carefully top with remaining graham cracker square.

Raspberry S’mores
1. Complete steps 1-3 above. (This one would also be awesome if you substituted the milk chocolate for dark!)
2. Upon removing S’mores from the oven, top marshmallow with raspberries.
5. Carefully top with remaining graham cracker square.

Peanut Butter S’mores with Toasted Coconut
1. In an oven set to broil, place a single layer of coconut flakes on a cookie sheet. Toast in oven until coconut turns golden, watching closely to ensure it doesn’t burn. Remove from oven.
2. Complete steps 1-3 in the S’mores recipe above.
3. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the inside of the remaining graham cracker squares.
4. Sprinkle toasted coconut on the toasted S’mores, then top with the graham cracker, peanut butter side down.
Drooling yet? Yep. Me too. So delicious, so easy to make, and so easy to put together by just grabbing the supplies at Walmart like I did!
Now I gotta know, since I shared how I create delicious memories with S’mores, what’s YOUR favorite way to enjoy them? Spill!
