Mother's Day is less than a week away! Mother's Day is one of my favorite holidays to get my DIY on because I love all of the pretty things I think of when I think of mothers. So today we have a super easy and super pretty idea for making the mothers in your life happy. These DIY Mothers Day Vase with a Free Printable is simple and beautiful! Add some fresh flowers and a little printable gift tag and your mom's day will be made.

Supplies needed to Make a DIY Mothers Day Vase

Jars
Chalk Paint
Flowers
Printable tag (find it here)
Ribbon

How to Make a DIY Mothers Day Vase

Step 1: Paint your jar! I found I needed 2-3 coats to give the jars total coverage. Let dry completely.

Step 2: Rough up dry jars with sandpaper.
Step 3: Fill jars with water/flowers.
Step 4: Download the tag from our shop. I printed mine out as wallet sized (you can generally adjust this in your printer settings) but they should print well up to a 4×6 if you would like to use them for a bigger vase or a different project.

very pretty! I found on YouTube if you spray paint glass jars with a white primer (dries extremely fast) then apply one coat of chalk paint…it does the job! Saves a lot of paint and time.

Why spend the extra cash on chalk paint, when primer and any flat paint will get the same results?

Does the chalk paint stay on fine without any chipping or rub off ? Im curious as usually a wax sealent is used on chalk paint. Thanks

When I try to download the free printable it required me to sign up. I did sign up, confirmed I am not a robot and it still will not let me get to the download. Can you please email it to me, or help me be able to download this lovely card.

    Thank you so much

Shouldn’t we put a sealant on the jar. Wont water wash off paint after a while.
