These Mustard Pants

I don’t really wear pants that aren’t jeans very often. I mean, I think they’re cute but they generally require spending more time than normal on outfit planning and that is precious time I could be spending hiding from my children in the quiet, quiet bathroom. However, over the weekend all of my jeans were dirty leaving me faced with the horror of having to do laundry. You see, our new house came with a creep-tastic basement where I’m certain there are both man-eating spiders and serial killers hiding along with our washer and dryer. As a result, you better believe I’m gonna wear the heck out of my jeans for as long as possible before I have to risk my life by going down there to wash my clothes. Yes, there is spit up and ketchup and dirt all over them but I DON”T WANT TO DIE so backoff.
However, the situation was getting dire so I summoned all of the bravery I could muster this weekend, threw all my jeans in the washer, and ran like a tsunami was chasing me up the stairs, leaving all of my jeans behind and only non-denim to work with. However, I feel like mustard is a neutral so it didn’t take long to come up with this little layered number, plus my clothes smell like clean and not infant spew today, and I wasn’t murdered adding the dryer sheets so I’d say it was a good weekend.
What did you do this weekend? It won’t take much to impress me. I just rambled about laundry for 10 minutes. Give it to me.

I grew up with a laundry room like that and always put off the laundry… walking into spider webs can be traumatizing!

Good thing those pants are really cute and perfect for fall! Love it!

I am OBSESSED with that sweater. I love mustard colors when other people wear them but I've never really liked it on myself.ReplyCancel
